Rima
After her husband’s shocking death seemingly by suicide, the single mother of three with no career and thorny past struggles to stand on her feet simultaneously juggling friendship, animosity, and new romance in Toronto.
A little more details....
When her husband falls to his death from their 22nd-floor apartment located on Danforth Avenue, Toronto, under suspicious circumstances, a shocked RIMA–only in her early 30s with three young children, incomplete education, no proper carrier, and a checkered past–must now find a way to support her family while warding off his alienated in-laws coming after her with a vengeance and an overzealous police detective suspecting her of foul play.
My literary fiction novel, Rima, complete at 108,000 words follows Rima in her journey through life to stand on her feet and pursue a long-time dream of hers to start a clothing business. She gets some strong support from her best friend MILA – a free-spirited woman with a botched love life and NOMAN – a long-time admirer from her murky past–who almost accidentally pops up in her life to give it another go.
Can Rima succeed in juggling through suspicion, enmity, budding romance, and test of friendship in a city that is known to be the hub of hope, opportunity, and new beginnings?
