Since I Met Preena

A romantic, compassionate teenager has trouble navigating through the complex world
of romance to find his first love.

A little more details....

This is a story about Zak, a teenager, and his close friends Big Tom and queer Zinia navigating through friendship, self-discovery, and romance in the backdrop of a Toronto suburb. Zak is a romantic geek, who goes through frequent crushes but no luck so far. Tom, his childhood friend, tries to hook him up with his cousin Amelia–a mild-mannered socially conscious sophomore with a passion for acting. When she is passed over for the leading role of her school’s drama club’s new play, Tom proposes to create their own play featuring Amelia hoping such a gig would bring Zak and Amelia together. Amelia agrees, to Zak’s delight. But unfortunately their romance never truly flies off, to Zak’s dismay.

My YA romance/comedy novel, Since I Met Preena, complete at 61,000 words follows Zak as he soon finds himself in unchartered territory when Preena - a teenage entrepreneur with a rising cleaning business and playful, unpredictable personality suddenly pops up in his life. Not shy in expressing her weakness for Zak, Preena is like a hurricane, determined to shake up his world. Unsure about his relationship with either Amelia or Preena, Zak is confused and torn between them. Will he finally find the love that he dreamt of for so long?
